Dip Recipes


Not only are dips a delicious way to enhance your Vege Chip experience, they are also a healthy and nutritious addition to your snacking habits. There are several common nasty additives in store bought dips, so therefore we encourage you to try preparing homemade dips. And hopefully with natural and organic ingredients, if your budget permits.

There will eventually be a favorite dip added for each Vege Chip flavour so please stay tuned. We would also love you to send us your personal favorite home style dip; all cuisine cultures are welcome.

YOGHURT AND CHICKPEA DIP

Yoghurt and Chickpea Dip INGREDIENTS (SERVES 4)
• 400g canned chickpeas, rinsed and drained
• 1/4 cup olive oil
• 1/3 cup Greek-style yoghurt
• 1 1/2 tablespoons finely chopped coriander
• Salt and cracked black pepper ( to taste )
1. Place chickpeas in a food processor or blender with 1 tablespoon warm water and process until finely chopped. With the motor running, pour olive oil in a thin, steady stream and process until smooth.
2. Remove chickpea mixture from the processor and fold through yoghurt, coriander, salt and cracked black pepper. Mix until well combined.
3. Garnish with parsley, a drizzle of olive oil and Vege Chips for dipping.
AVACADO AND FRESH TOMATO DIP

Yoghurt and Chickpea Dip INGREDIENTS (SERVES 4)
• 1 ripe avocado, mashed with a fork
• 1 tbsp sour cream
• 1 Freshly diced medium tomato
• ¼ of a squeezed lemon
• Salt ( to taste )
• 1/2 to 1 tbsp sweet chilli sauce

Method: Mix all the ingredients and season to taste. Store in the refrigerator, covered with plastic wrap. Keeps for 1-2 days. Serve with Natural Vege Chips.
